Chris, Bethany, Olive, Lucy, Penny, and Ivy live in a treetop condo in Germantown, Maryland. We spend our days reading science fiction and self-improvement books, coding, creating culinary masterpieces, tending to too many house plants, drawing Pokemon, and dancing.
Chris Rim Photo was sparked to life by the inspirational birth of our adorable and photogenic daughter in 2010. In the beginning we solely focused on family portraiture and began a small business helping families afford creative and artistic portraits. Around this time, Bethany began a career as a catering chef. After dragging Chris along to photograph her cakes and delicious food at wedding after wedding the inevitable segue into wedding photography began!
Chris brings his creative eye for light and passion for capturing the emotions of the moment to the table. Bethany uses her knowledge of the wedding industry and event planning experience to provide couples with a seamless booking experience. Chris and Bethany work together to deliver creative, yet timeless images for couples to enjoy for generations to come. Olive and the menagerie of pets continue to inspire us everyday to stop and cherish the small things and we want to convey that in the images we deliver to our clients.

Chris' passion for photography started IN THE YEAR 2000. He experimented with architectural and abstract photography (picture photos of things from IKEA and buildings at weird angles). These days he is enjoying experimenting with light and shadow in his work. He is into futurology, technology, and self-improvement. He has an amazing eye for detail and notices things most people don't.
